Here we go again


When I came off the ice prematurely last year a whole year to wait to try again seamed such a very long way away. From here, December 2009, I grasp at the days as they speed by trying to eke out every hour from them for the last preparations. A new sled has been ordered and many improvements have been made and I am now itching to get out there and try them all out

Training in Norway

It hardly seemed necessary to leave London with all the ice, snow and below zero temperatures, but my new sled and a load of new gear was ready and awaited in Norway.

How long does it take to eat 50 Mince Pies?


On Saturday I was tempted by the baker's special offer of a box of 50 mince pies... but maybe I should have bought two as the box is alarmingly close to empty! It is again time to train very hard, but eat just as hard.
